Alabama

Kincaid and I flew to Mississippi last Thursday to visit our friend Jimbo. Jimbo is the best tour guide hands down. We spent some time in Mississippi, we hit Louisiana to see the Mississippi River, we drove all over Alabama and crossed the Florida State line only to say that we hit Florida also. I was piled in the backseat of the truck with all of the luggage, which was mainly mine with Kincaid and Jimbo tour guiding up front. Jimbo took us to see different varieties of farming in Alabama at an agricultural experiment station. Blueberries, blackberries and a wide variety of oranges were among some of the farms we got to see and taste fruit from. It was pretty good stuff! Jimbo’s oldest daughter Ella Katherine sent me home with a baggie full of acorns, so I snapped some pictures of her while she was outside gathering them. I am sad that I didn’t get a picture of little Caroline. Jimbo’s wife July was pregnant with a baby boy and due any day while we were visiting. Congratulations on the baby boy! It was such a pleasure.
